The jewel of the collection, following the success of our bold 9mm frames, the 1386 represents the pinnacle of postmodern eyewear design. It borrows its lines from 1950s American acetate styles, but now amplified for maximum effect. The sculpted acetate, along with interior and exterior milling, gives the frame a bold, rugged look, without the heaviness of weight. The volume of the acetate allows for the bright, deep marble colors of the Renaissance and Classical architecture, which are contrasted with this highly technical frame. New custom acetate colors, such as Alabaster and Burgundy Marble, echo artists like Jeff Koons and Marcel Duchamp, who challenged modernism by creating something new from the old.
